Objectives for application-based NDSHP Drug Therapy Related CE series:
1. Review evidence based guidelines and best practices in pharmacokinetics and monitoring of vancomycin
2. Identify two clinical endpoints of the presented topic: Assess the efficacy of current vancomycin dosing and monitoring strategies.
3. Recommend therapeutic means to achieve clinical endpoints: Identify incidence and risk factors for vancomycin-associated nephrotoxicity in the pediatric population.
4. Describe how the presented topic impacts patient outcomes.
