ASHP Certificate Reimbursement Program

NDSHP seeks to elevate health-system pharmacy practice and patient care through supporting our members in a variety of ways, particularly education. To achieve this mission, NDSHP provides reimbursement to approved NDSHP members who complete an ASHP Certificate Program within a given year. Certificate topics range from clinical topics including emergency medicine, cardiology, and oncology to administrative topics including 340b, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

The self-guided learning modules are completed online through the ASHP website. Each certificate provides a high-quality and practical professional development opportunity for pharmacists and technicians. The certificates have manageable learning module segments with an opportunity to claim CE at the end of each module. A certificate will be awarded after the required practice demonstrations are uploaded. Certifications provide anywhere from 16 to 41 hours of continuing education and usually cost $445 for ASHP members at $545 for non-members. Applicants must be practicing in the state of North Dakota and NDSHP members in good standing to be eligible for the training.

Interested applicants must complete the application below and return it to outreach@ndshp.org by January 22, 2026, and will be notified of application acceptance by February 12, 2026. Certificate must be started and completed by January 31, 2027. The application window for future years will be released at a later date. Preference will be given to pharmacists that are planning to utilize the certificate program to help advance pharmacy practice in their workplace, preceptors-in-training, or from health-systems looking to start residency programs within the next 5 years.
