    Hey Brianna,

Throughout pharmacy school, I was leaning towards practicing in a retail setting. However after my second acute care rotation, I changed my mind and knew that health-system pharmacy was a better fit. After completion of a PGY-1 residency at Sanford Medical Center Fargo in 2012, I started working as an OR pharmacist. Later, I was able to transition into the Adult Medicine role. I work closely with patients and physicians to help optimize medication use in the hospital. Recently, I've been working in the ambulatory care setting to develop a Medical Home pharmacist role. Working with internal medicine in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings has been a very rewarding career path!

    Thanks for the post,

    Nicholas (Cole) Helbling PharmD BCPS
